So, I’ve seen Scotland
This summer I had a few days off to relax. I and my wife decided to visit Scotland. That idea just came up with sort of invitation we have had from the famous crime writer Craig Russell. My wife is the Turkish translator of his books. We went to Scotland and hired a car then I drew 1473.1 miles which means 2370.2 km. That’s crazy trip believe me. Before we go I planned some point of interest of mine by using Google Earth. So there was no big deal to find them there hopefully. I took 2251 photos there! Of course most of them were HDR that multiplied one photo by three. And 627 of them were taken by the small camera because they are just for memory only.
I heard from someone else that Scottish people are not so polite or whatever. When I met them over there I realized that the Scottish are fabulously brilliant, polite and hospitable folks. There was absolutely nothing wrong with them. I appreciate every one of them I met. Thank them for that hospitability. And I understand that the kilt (some sort of traditional Scottish skirt) suits men very much. I was nearly buying one if it wasn’t so expensive. They have plenty of rain and dead volcanic mountains that are why there were a lot narrow lakes. Each lake has own their castle I can say. There were a lot castles everywhere around.
The things that I hate there are the millions of small mud flies and very narrow roads. Flies are very harmful when they start to bite you. (Especially when you do long exposure you will have to wait so long on same point bloody hell they were everywhere and attacked me!) God! It aches and itches badly. Nearly at the end of our journey I heard very terrible news from my cousin that my aunt who suffered from lungs cancer for a year was dead. I’m so sad.
However nobody will live forever. I hope she will sleep well and rest in peace.
Here are the some of the photos I took in that beautiful country. If I have an opportunity to live in that country I wouldn’t think about twice, I’m sure. That country is a beautiful place for a photographer. And no crowded at all.
Here are the some of the photos.
